AwardSpring is an established and fast-growing Software as a Service (SaaS) start-up that partners with colleges and foundations to help them award scholarships and grants. We want to make it as easy as possible for students to apply for and receive scholarship money, and as easy as possible for institutions to deliver that money and raise more money for future students.

Who You Are:

You are either currently enrolled in an undergraduate college program OR a somewhat recent graduate looking for part-time work and you understand the critical need for a simplified and streamlined scholarship application and award process.

You want to jump start your career through sales, business development, and marketing.

You are enthusiastic about exploring the world of sales and marketing: You are not expected to come here and have all the answers – we will train you on the various operations we need you to undertake – and we’d love if you bring a positive energy and a strong interest to this world of entry level sales ops!

You are flexible: Mentally, that is (though other kinds of flexibility are appreciated as well – maybe you could help us get into yoga more). This role will be helping us grow into new markets, so things could change fast, and we’ll need you to be open and ready to roll with new objectives on a dime!

You have an abundance of natural curiosity: Perhaps you were one of those kids that asked “why?” over and over again until your parents went crazy. Perhaps you asked questions that were a bit more well-formed. Either way, you are an intellectually curious life-long learner who cherishes the process of figuring things out – particularly with an interest in learning new technologies as they relate to sales and marketing success.

You like to work with data and automation: Researching companies, cleaning data and tinkering with workflow automation sounds interesting to you. You like to get into a flow with your work and can sometimes lose track of time when you're deeply focused on the understanding the how and why things work.

What You’ll Do:

As AwardSpring’s Part-Time Sales Ops Analyst or Intern, your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Keep contact information (email address…phone number…job title…etc) updated in our CRM (HubSpot). You will be an important piece to our sales and marketing teams, enabling their efficiency and ensuring they have accurate information to use in their prospecting and marketing campaigns.
  • Research new prospects for our sales development team. We have experienced major growth in the last couple of years and are looking to further engage into new markets – your efforts will be supremely important for our ability to expand our reach.
  • Assist our marketing team with tasks as they prepare and launch campaigns for new and existing markets.
  • Work with sales leadership to compile contact lists to keep our sales team’s task-lists full of prime prospects.
  • Other miscellaneous CRM data updating tasks that are crucial to the success of our sales and marketing teams' operations.
